The sun and the heat affect our approach to sports because training may result more difficult and suffered.
Currently, we can serenely take advantage from the opportunity to exercise during summer and, even better, during the holidays, because exposure to the sun can increase vitamin D levels naturally, which help us to improve our health, strengthening both skeleton and muscles.
Of course, very intense activity is recommended during the hottest hours of the day, but we can satisfy the desire to exercise both by the seaside as in the mountain and also of those who remain in the city.
In addition to our favorite sport, the most suitable activity, which may be performed even under warm temperatures, is walking or cycling, which is accessible to everyone, beginners of any age, and may be practiced from early in the morning by the sea, at mid-day in the fresh mountains, and at the end of the day in the city.
Walking and cycling are great physical activities that may be carried out alone or in company, and they are free, always accessible, offering no risks: we choose a flat course to avoid having to struggle under the sun, and we must adapt the intensity and duration to our level of training: when we exercise, we are oxygenating the entire body, heart and lungs in the first place; we are using all our muscles, waking up our metabolism, consuming calories, improving the well-being of our intestines, strengthening muscles and bones, toning up our whole general appearance.
After doing our motor activities we will also receive mental benefits. It is a natural anti-stress agent, and by releasing endorphins, we will feel lighter, calmer and relaxed; definitely in more fit conditions!
